Travel information
Arrival by Airplane at Leipzig-Halle Airport:
After your arrival by airplane at Leipzig-Halle airport, you can take the train from the airport's train platform (S-Bahn train, RE train, RB train, https://www.bahn.com/en) to the city center of Leipzig (Leipzig Hauptbahnhof; MDV ticket, duration ca. 15 minutes). Tickets can be bought at the ticket machine on the platform and have to be validated by yourself at the ticket stamping machine on the platform before entering the train.
Arrival by Train:
After your arrival at the main train station of Leipzig ("Leipzig Hbf - Hauptbahnhof") you can take the tram (major tram stop in front of the train station; tram line 16 direction Lößnig). You need a "single ticket" ("Einzelfahrkarte", 3 Euro) to get to the conference venue. You do not need a separate ticket if you already arrived via airplane and took an S-Bahn, RE, or RB train to the main train station. Your "MDV ticket" is also valid for taking the tram (within a timeframe of 2 hours).
